Everyday, the media
reports a new improved way to lose weight, prevent aging or
keep the body healthy. But staying healthy does not require
a rigid lifestyle. A healthy body does not call for food depravity
or even restrictive eating. It is unnecessary to launch a workout
regimen that requires training like a tri-athlete, either. Follow
the following recipe for a healthy body:
Ingredients
• Diversity
• Flexibility
Whip
up a lifestyle regimen with diversity. Eating foods of the
same food group is limiting. The body requires all of the
foods listed on the food pyramid (vegetables, protein, fruits,
carbohydrates and whole grains). A well-rounded diet represents
a complex array of vitamins, and minerals.
Each part of the body requires different nutrients; as a result,
it's the reason why the body requires a complex diverse group
of foods.
In the
realm of exercise, the diversity ingredient is key to keeping
all the muscles, limbs and ligaments functioning. When the
body becomes sedentary, the body suffers from the lack of
activity. Muscles, tissue and loses its strength and tone.
Performing the same fitness program everyday -- limits other
muscles from being properly exercised. For example, if a person
just walks the treadmill everyday, only the heart and legs
are benefiting. A diverse exercise program enables all the
parts of the body to be utilized.
Balance.
While nutritional eating habits are important and a well-rounded
work-out regimen is vital, the proper balance is necessary.
A work out regimen and weight loss program should never interrupt
one's daily life. In other words, there must be a balance
between eating healthily and exercising at a normal rate.
For example, 30-minutes, five days a week at the gym is sufficient.
In the realm of food, do not limit your diet to meat one day,
no carbohydrates the next. Try to strike a balance between
diversity and balance and you will have the recipe for healthy
living.
